Sorry about not writing much lately, but I have been very busy since my last adventure out to Glacier. I haven't had any big adventures or weekend long excursions since then, but I have been trying to fit in some fun here and there. I've been on my bike a few times. I went mountain biking with some friends and met a guy that I actually had a phone interview with for a job in Montana last fall. I rode 95 miles on my road bike on a very hot day and wasn't sure if I was going to make it back. I've been on some horse rides. I've been swimming in the Snake River. I helped an old roommate load up a camper into his truck in Potlatch, ID (he was driving through to Seattle). And my garden is still working hard to produce some nice veggies for me. But mostly I've been working and then working some more.
Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks. I was going to write individual posts about a lot of the mini-adventures I have had over the past couple weeks, but didn't really have time. This way will probably be a lot less boring for everybody, too.

| This is the view from Paradise Point, about 3/4 the way up Moscow Mountain on a mountain bike ride a couple weeks ago. The Palouse Hills are becoming quite the patchwork of colors with the different crops and crop stages. |
| I checked out a little exhibit at the Palouse Science Discovery Center about the Nez Perce indians. It was a pretty cool exhibit where they taught about teepees, traditional stories, and I got to try some cooked camas bulbs. |
| 30 miles of my 95 mile bike ride last weekend was along the Snake River with views just like this. Even though it was hot, it was a pretty spectacular day. |
| This is the old highway that goes up the Lewiston grade and the road that I rode on. It climbs over 2000 feet in 7 miles. It was a very cool road. Next time, I will have to go down instead of up. |
| This is a cabin in the woods that we rode to on horses on Sunday. It was a great day for a ride. I tried to get a picture of the wheat fields through the trees on the mountain as the sun was setting because it was one of the most amazing shades of gold I have ever seen, but my phone died right as I took the picture and it didn't save. So I'll just have to remember it and you'll just have to imagine it. |
